Not totally crazy in the head!

I'm guessing that those of you who know me in real life might debate that statement but my Dr did confirm that I'm not totally nuts. On the flip side I am totally hormonally unbalanced. I think I was relieved to get the test results back.

Evidently I am ridiculously low on vitamin D. There isn't enough sun in the world to get me up to "normal" so I have started a RX strength Vitamin that I'll take for 3 months and then hopefully I'll be able to just use a over the counter supplement. I have also started taking Seasonix birth control pills and hopefully they will even out the hormone issues. I'm investigating a endometrial ablation. From what I understand it has had a lot of success and about 60% of women don't have a period after the procedure. Lot of women use it as a way to deal with crazy cycles with out hormone pills or hysterectomy. I think it is all worth considering at this point.

I'm not really sure what the exact fix was but I'm starting to feel better. At least I haven't bitten any one's head off in well over a week. I did throw a quick vacation (long weekend) in the middle so I'm guessing that helped to.

Ah better days are on the way :-)

  1. It's always just releaving in itself to hear a cause, a reason why you don't feel well. There's not many more things more frustrating than leaving the doctors still uncertain what is wrong.

I'm glad to hear they have a direction now of treatment that hopefully can bring better days for you!

  2. Good to hear that good times are on the way! :) I saw this on Dr. Phil one (LOL), how women can be hormonally unbalanced. Kind of scary, but at least they figured it out!

Sorry we didn't get to see you while you were down. Hope you had good times even if a portion of the Amestoy household was apparently sicky.
