On Mothers Day we went out to see my mom and dad. They only live about 40 miles away but it had been ages since were out. I see my mom all the time because she is in town often but we hadn't headed that way so we thought we'd take the boys out to see Gramma and Grampa and enjoy a beautiful sunny day. Justin and Rex had fun golfing out on the front lawn and my dad took Riley for a tractor ride on the little wheel tractor. I guess Riley was all for it until he started the engine. I had to post the picture of my dad and his lovely cigar just to bug my mom and little and because most people know I work for the American Cancer Society - yes I know second hand smoke it terrible but hey, what do you do, its Grammpa and he isn't going to change and this point.

It was a very relaxing day. No matter how old I get or what my own family is up too, that will always be home. It is huge old farm house that welcomes everyone in. Maybe its more about the people and memories in it.

  1. Your boys just melt my heart. I love the one with the cigar...that's Grampa!!

  2. A beautiful day, a farm, and a set of grandparents...a combination that makes great memories!! Looks like it was a perfect Mother's Day!

  3. I just love the Riley cheesey smile pic!
At least Riley gets on things-even before the engine starts. Abby won't even sit on Bryan's 4-wheeler anymore b/c she knows it's "loud." Nutty little munchkins!

  4. Aw, your dad looks SO SO SO Proud!
