I've been a poor blogger the last month or so. I don't like that I had to make the blog private. It takes a lot of fun out this when you have to second guess everything you post. It is time to start posting again - or stop altogether I guess and I don't want to do that so here is our July update.
Justin's plant closes each year for the week around the 4th of July and I like to take this week for vacation as well so the whole family can hang out. In the past we have used this week to visit friends in Montana or family but this year we totally stayed home and loved every minute of it. I didn't take many pictures but I'll share what I have.
Each year we go out to Newman Lake to friends of the family for a fun day and an evening firework show. My parents used to have a cabin at the lake and we have remained good friends with the family that had the cabin right next to us. I was the youngest of the clan of kids running around back in the day so there are a lot of comments about how little Mary grew up and now look at her little boys.
It is always a good time and this year my dad brought their 5th wheel up as well so we were able to go up and stay a few nights this last week as well. The boys had an absolute blast. Riley loves to swing so he had a great time having the swing right down by the water so he could watch Rex. Rex had a ton of fun swimming and playing in the water. Ri was content to sit on the sand a splash. Riley didn't have much fun with the floatie but Rex sure had fun with it. It may be as close as I ever get to having a ballerina in the house.
Uncle Greg put together fishing poles and supplies for the boys so Rex spent one morning fishing. He didn't catch anything but still had a blast.
Justin and I celebrated out 11 wedding anniversary this weekend. My mom and dad kept the boys for us so it was a nice relaxing weekend. The last 11 years have been an adventure to say the least. We've had a few bumps along the way but I couldn't imagine traveling this road with anyone else. I love you Justin !
PS - Note Rex's grin is a short another tooth and he is sportin a Mohawk! What a summer he has had.
